Overview
The Keepers are pivotal figures in Fisch, tasked with the crucial role of granting weather effects. Their influence is determined by message indicators like the Sundial Totem. Originally, these totems were hidden by trusted individuals to prevent misuse and unnatural weather changes. Unfortunately, these individuals lost the totems, scattering them across the map, allowing players to compel the Keepers to manipulate the weather.
The Keepers' ethereal presence is found at the gates of the depths. They are not directly visible but their impact on the game is profound, as they maintain the balance and natural order of weather patterns. This balance is key to the game's dynamic environment and player interactions.
The Keepers are mesmerized by the Aurora Borealis, so much so that they refuse to alter the weather during this magical event.
Lore
The Aurora Borealis is a rare and enchanting sight in the game, and the Keepers are captivated by its beauty. Without the Aurora Totem, they can no longer summon this event at will, making it even more special. During an Aurora Borealis, mythical fish appear more frequently, but the Keepers ignore players' requests to change the weather, respecting the event's sacredness.
The Keepers are responsible for maintaining weather equilibrium. However, due to the loss of their totems, players have been altering weather patterns, leading to the appearance of historic creatures in the ocean. These disruptions, especially in day and night cycles, attract creatures in search of fish, which players hunt, pushing some to the brink of extinction. Unaware of the ecological impact, players continue to hunt migratory creatures, disregarding their dwindling numbers.
Although the Keepers control weather and time, they are powerless over the seasons. This limitation preserves the natural progression of the game's environment, maintaining a cycle that players cannot disturb.
