Overview
Occultus is a mysterious and anxious character you can encounter in Fisch. This NPC is found within The Depths, specifically located near a large aqueduct on the south-eastern edge of the area.
The appearance of Occultus reflects their nervous disposition, and they seem quite apprehensive about the surroundings, especially during the event known as Absolute Darkness.
Occultus's main role is to alert players about the Ancient Depth Serpent, a supposed threat that appears during Absolute Darkness, although this creature cannot actually cause harm to the player.

Dialogue Interaction
When players approach Occultus, they will initially encounter a nervous character who expresses fear and asks them to leave. If players choose to reassure Occultus with the option "It's okay... I won't hurt you...", they will receive a warning about venturing into The Depths.
Upon asking why they shouldn't be there, Occultus reveals a local legend: during the darkest nights, an enormous serpent rises from The Depths. Although this tale is meant to be cautionary, the Ancient Depth Serpent is harmless in reality.
