Overview
Mella is a captivating character introduced in the Tidefall update of Fisch. She resides in the mysterious Sunken Reliquary, where she offers her unique services to enhance players' fishing rods. Recognizable by her charming and mystical demeanor, Mella requires specific items to perform her enhancements.
To have a rod enhanced by Mella, players must collect Tide Essence, Requis Essence, and Thalass Essence, in addition to presenting a random Exotic fish and a secret fish. These essences are not only crucial for rod enhancement but also play a role in unlocking the secrets of Thalassar's Ruin.
Mella's enhancements can both increase and decrease your rod's stats!
Dialogue and Interaction
When interacting with Mella, players will experience her enigmatic and playful personality. If a player approaches without the required essences, Mella will jovially inform them that all three must be placed before she can assist.
Once the essences are placed, Mella will inquire whether the player possesses the necessary Exotic and secret fish. She warns that modifying the rod will consume one of each fish, which cannot be favorited.
If the player has the correct items, Mella will proceed with the enhancement. The rod's stats may increase by 1-25%, or, occasionally, decrease by 1-5%. Regardless of the outcome, Mella's enchanting presence makes the experience memorable. If a player holds a Divine Secret fish, she will acknowledge its presence and ask if they wish to offer it for a more powerful enhancement.
