Overview
Tidefall is a sprawling cave system located beneath the ocean, introduced in the significant update 1.67.0 on January 25, 2026. This location serves as a central hub within a vast network of underwater caves, featuring four distinct branch sub-locations, an extension area, and a secret spot known as Thalssar's Secret. Access to Tidefall is exclusive, with the Underwater Opening being the only entrance.
The cave system is renowned for its diversity and depth, offering players a large Bestiary to complete and a variety of fishing rods and items, including Crab Cages. Although the central Tidefall area and Thalssar's Secret do not host specific hunts, the other sub-locations each have their own unique challenges and hunts to engage players.
Players are drawn to Tidefall not only for its central positioning within the cave network but also for the wealth of items available for purchase. The area is equipped with amenities that cater to both novice and seasoned players, making it a pivotal location in the game.
Tidefall is the only location where you can find the Drowned Appraiser, who offers unique appraisal bonuses.
How to Reach
Boat Travel
Head to the Underwater Opening, where multiple boats are docked. These boats are equipped with Deep Divers who can guide you. Be cautious of the Pressure Bar, which fills up as you descend.
Quest for Access
Speak to the Deep Diver on the large boat to receive a quest. Completing this quest grants you access to the cave, allowing easier entry in the future.
Underwater Opening
The Underwater Opening is the sole access point to the Tidefall cave system. Here, players will find several boats and Deep Divers ready to assist in their journey. Be mindful of the Pressure Bar that fills up as you dive deeper, threatening your survival if it maxes out. Completing a specific quest with a Deep Diver can grant you an item to manage the pressure better and access Tidefall more easily.
Drowned Appraiser
Located in the central area of Tidefall, the Drowned Appraiser offers a unique appraisal service. This appraiser has a doubled chance to apply mutations to fish compared to a regular appraiser, though at a higher cost of 50% of the fish's value. Additionally, the Drowned Appraiser provides a 1.2x weight boost to fish, enhancing their desirability.
Dripstone Collapse
The Dripstone Collapse is a thrilling event unique to Tidefall. Players can initiate this event by using a Dripstone Collapse Totem or encountering a disturbance at high risk levels. During the event, dripstones fall from the ceiling, and players can mine them for loot. Caution is necessary, as being hit by a falling dripstone causes damage and can lead to death, with special titles awarded for accumulating dripstone-related deaths.

Currently, no specific fish are known to inhabit Tidefall, making it a location more focused on exploration and engaging with its unique features rather than fishing.
