Overview
The Lantern Keeper is an intriguing NPC located near the lighthouse in Moosewood. He can be found wandering around the area during daylight hours, occasionally changing his position. His role is to provide players with lanterns, which serve both as a source of light and a cosmetic feature in the game.
A striking feature of the Lantern Keeper is his peculiar appearance; his head and body exhibit an odd twitching motion. His dialogue is equally unique, characterized by random capitalization, reflecting his mysterious nature. According to in-game lore, he is said to be a vessel cursed with the burden of all possible knowledge, constantly flowing through him.
Players can purchase various lanterns from him. Some lanterns are available for purchase with Robux, including the unique Eternal Lantern of Abyss. The lanterns are acquired randomly, with a 1 in 16 chance of obtaining a specific one. There is also a rare opportunity to get the Fairy Lantern, with a 1 in 50 chance. If a player receives a duplicate lantern, they are refunded instead.
Lanterns purchased from the Lantern Keeper are permanent and can be switched freely.
