Dave is a unique quest giver located at the top of The Arch in Fisch. His role is to challenge players with a series of quests that involve gathering various types of rocks.
This NPC stands out with his distinct manner of speaking, often using short phrases and exclamations. Dave's main purpose is to guide players through a series of tasks that reward them with valuable experience and the exclusive Dave Rod upon completion.
Dave rewards players with a massive 5,000,000 XP for completing his first quest.
Quests
Dave offers a trio of quests that players must complete in sequence. Successfully finishing all three quests earns the player the coveted Dave Rod.
The first quest involves bringing Dave a boulder. Once you present the boulder to him, he rewards you with a whopping 5,000,000 XP, and you even get to keep the boulder after completing the task.
In the second quest, Dave demands 250 rocks. Upon successful delivery, he takes the rocks, finishes the quest, and rewards you with 1,000,000 XP.
The third and final quest requires you to find a 'special rock,' which Dave describes as a 'cool' and 'awesome' rock. Completing this task is essential to earn the exclusive Dave Rod.
Dave Interactions
When you first meet Dave, he expresses his desire for a 'big rock,' specifically a boulder. Regardless of your initial response, the conversation leads to the same quest to fetch a boulder.
If you approach Dave without the requested boulder, he will repetitively express his eagerness for the rock using phrases like 'STONE STONE STONE' and 'ME WANT ROCK!' Returning with the boulder prompts Dave to acknowledge your effort, praise the rock, and reward you with experience points.
In the second interaction, Dave escalates his request to 250 rocks, initiating the second quest. He emphasizes the quantity by repeating 'MANY ROCK!'
Upon gathering the required 250 rocks, Dave enthusiastically accepts them, completes the quest, and rewards you with additional experience.
The final interaction sees Dave asking for one 'special rock.' He emphasizes its uniqueness, sparking the beginning of the third quest.
