Overview

The Angler is a prominent NPC in Fisch, found scattered across various islands in the game. As a fisherman and quest giver, he plays a significant role in guiding players through their fishing adventures. His presence is marked by his unique dialogue and quest offerings, which vary slightly depending on the location.

With his fishing attire and a welcoming demeanor, the Angler is easily recognizable on any island. Although he looks the same in most locations, the Angler in The Depths stands out with different dialogue and a distinct marking, adding a layer of mystery to his character.

Players rely on the Angler for quests that involve catching specific fish. These quests not only provide experience points but also offer increasingly better rewards as players complete more of them.

Quests

The Angler engages players by assigning quests that involve catching specific fish. Upon successful completion, players earn experience points and rewards that improve with the number of quests completed. After finishing 25, 50, and 75 quests, players will see changes in the types of fish requested, adding variety and challenge to their tasks.

Once a quest is completed, players must wait 120 seconds before they can receive a new assignment from the Angler. This mechanic encourages players to explore and engage with other game elements in the interim.

• Each location in the game has its own Angler NPC, but the one in The Depths is unique due to his different dialogue when asked about fish.
• Players are advised to interact with The Depths Angler because he requests fish that are found in the same area.
• A known bug occasionally swaps Roslit's Angler with Terrapin's Angler, causing some confusion.
• The Angler from The Depths has a special marking with the text "霧島" (KIRISHIMA) on his right hand.
• Players who were asked to catch an extinct fish before its removal would receive a humorous message from the Angler expressing surprise.
