Scoria Reach is a fiery and challenging location introduced in version 1.71.0 of Fisch. It is situated east of the Lost Jungle, offering a unique environment where all fishing takes place in lava rather than water. This adds a distinct twist to fishing, requiring specialized equipment and strategy.
The area is known for its intense heat, monitored by a temperature bar that increases as you stay longer. Once filled, the player starts to burn and suffer health loss. To manage this, players can purchase Scoria Armor, which requires a 20% bestiary completion and currency. This armor helps slow the increase of the temperature bar, making exploration more manageable.
Fishing in Scoria Reach requires special rods, such as the Magma Rod, Volcanic Rod, or any rod with enchantment or high durability. Additionally, players must navigate the danger of periodic fireballs that erupt from the lava, which can cause immediate significant health damage if contact is made.
Scoria Reach is an advanced location with a harsh environment, offering a thrilling challenge for experienced players. It features NPCs like the Angler, Inn Keeper, Merchant, Shipwright, and Scoria Guard, each providing unique services and support to adventurers.
The Scoria Armor works in both the Scoria Reach and Volcanic Vents, but the Glimmerfin Suit only works in the latter.
